Essentially, it is a fish attractant that was developed jointly by a private company and the government, and uses the fish's own hormones and pheromones, attracting fish to an area and then turns them on to feed. DOES IT WORK

ULTRABITE
Ultrabite is revolutionary because it combines sex pheromone, food and bite inducing aromas. Ultrabite is the first government approved fish attractant and is endorsed and used by Matt Hayes. Ultrabite attracts male and female fish and is available in 9 species profiled formulae. Kiotech and CEFAS combined their knowledge of pheromone and fish attraction in developing and researching Ultrabite. Early interest was aroused by two observations, Scottish fishermen reported the annoying habit of inexpert women to land large fish and The Field Magazine published a reader’s letter mentioning success with flies tied using the pubic hair of the reader’s wife when he had had little success before.

KIOTECH
is a British company with expertise in modifying brain patterns and triggering mood states and behavioural changes through the use of aromas. Sex pheromones and mood inducing aromas are the special interest of Dr George Dodd, who saw his skills to be of potential benefit to anglers. Dr Dodd knew that women had a reputation for catching larger salmon and saw a possible pheromone link at play in this. On contacting The Centre for Environment, Fisheries and Aquaculture Sciences, he found CEFAS already had an effective sex attractant, Factor X, which they held patent rights upon. Kiotech and CEFAS pooled resources and now offer 10 species specific formulae where sex attractants overlay food odours to provoke bite, feed and frenzy characteristics in both fish sexes.

CEFAS
The Centre for Environment, Fisheries and Aquaculture Sciences is a British Government Agency with interests that include the subject of fish attraction. Factor X is a patent held formula registered by CEFAS. Dr Andy Moore, of CEFAS, has reviewed the UK and Japanese trial data for Ultrabite with Dr George Dodd of Kiotech. The certification of Ultrabite as an effective fish attractant is a significant step for CEFAS. It being a government agency, there is an absolute need for open, honest and scientifically proven bases for its public endorsement of a commercial product.

USAGE
1) Apply sparingly to hook baits at approx. 5ml per pint (0.5 ltr).
2) Regularly apply in fast water or when spinning to create a predator corridor.
3) Apply 5ml per 1lb (0.5 kg) to ground bait.
4) Artificial lures and flies need ‘a little but often’ approach.
5) Use with ground bait, boilies, particles, pellets, dead bait, maggots, and general sea baits, lures etc...

NOTES
1) Reseal by pushing the cap over the opened vial neck.
2) Dispose of vials with care.
3) Not for human consumption.
4) Refold open pouches.
5) Using more than the recommended dosage will not necessarily improve the level of attraction.
6) Ultrabite will not harm or stain your skin, but to avoid the odors - wear rubber gloves when mixing..
